Sagan

Digital scanned images of vintage picture postcards of the town of Sagan in what was prior to 1945 part of the Prussian province of Silesia, Germany. However, since it is located very near to the Brandenburg / Neumark / Silesia border and is of some historical interest - the site of the famous 'Great Escape' P.O.W Stalag Luft III camp - we have included it in our site about Ost-Brandenburg. We have a large number of old images of Sagan in our archive and add more to this online collection as time permits. Come back soon to see more of old Sagan, Germany, now Zagan, Lubuskie, Poland. This page currently contains ten pictures of pre-war Sagan. Simply click on the button below the larger image to see a different image in our old Żagań picture gallery.
